I started OneFortyWines by ‘tweeting’ 140 character wine reviews on @OneFortyWines.  I wanted to learn twitter, and this seemed like as good a topic as any!

I quickly realized that 140 characters wasn’t NEARLY enough, and that it’s pretty damn challenging to accurately convey a wine’s description in such a short space, so I decided to start this blog at OneFortyWines.com.

Twitter is still a fantastic method to ‘alert’ interested parties, gather people together around shared interests, and to learn from influential people.  I’ve been focusing on using Twitter for this, and really elaborating on the details of the wines I love (and don’t).  Only recently have I begun sending interested ‘followers’ to this expanded site, and so far the response has been great!
