Lone Oak Vineyard 2010 CHARDONNAY
Fruit fwd. Light oak. Good viscosity.
Melony. Stoney. Subtle pineapple. Almost banana.
None of the tart green apple or deep butter from other ends of the spectrum.
Subtle vanillin…but the good kind.
Rich, without the buttery depth of too much malo.
nice acid. Warm weather chard.
ROSELLA’S 2010 PINOT NOIR
From Gary Franscioni’s. His wife is Rosella.
Spicey Flower nose. Floral…but with some pepper.
Color is a rich garnet.
Lighter body, deep flavors. You don’t expect the level of flavor given the lightness of body.
Instantly, you realize that this is a powerful and impressive pinot.
Again, it had a peppery minerality that separates it from the pack.
There is a velvety, cherry-liqour that this wine exudes, and it is spectacular.
